If you’re looking for a Walt Disney World resort that has easy access to Epcot, you really can’t go wrong with Disney’s Boardwalk Inn. Since we’ve begun our Disney adventures, we’ve also stayed at The Beach Club. While The Beach Club is a wonderful resort, I think the Boardwalk edges it out a little for being the favorite for our family. Our family’s favorite resort overall is Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. To read about our stays there, click here.  We often do split stays so we can reap the benefits of different resorts while trying different Disney experiences. If you’re into split stays or you love Epcot, keep reading. Click here to read more about renting DVC points to save on deluxe stays at Disney. To help you plan your next Disney vacation, I’ve outlined 6 reasons that Boardwalk Inn wins in the Epcot-area resorts category. 1.…

Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is my favorite resort at Walt Disney World. When we took our first family trip to Walt Disney World, my youngest was two years old. Now, as she approaches eleven, we’ve had four trips to the World and one to Disneyland. We’ve learned a few things since that first trip, and now we can say we truly have a favorite Disney resort. Now keep in mind, several resorts are in the running for second place, and depending on the circumstances surrounding the trip, I may even choose another resort for a trip. I’ll explain all of my reasons, and maybe you’ll want to try Bay Lake Tower and see if it’s your favorite Disney…

If you’re on a budget and you want to visit Walt Disney World, you may believe that staying at a Disney deluxe resort is out of your reach. I know I believed that.  For my first stay at Disney with my family, I thought that I would just pick a value resort and go with it–maybe even a moderate.  But, when I really started researching lodging, I discovered that I could stay deluxe at Disney! You can too! Background I had been to Walt Disney World once before I became an adult.  I had just finished my freshman year of high school, and my little sister was going to start first grade.  My family loaded up our pop-up camper, hooked it up to the van, and hit the road from Missouri.  We even had grandma along for the ride.  We camped twice along the way, but finally, we made it…

Animal Kingdom Lodge-Kidani Village is a beautiful resort with lots of fun in every nook and cranny. This was our first Walt Disney World Resort, and did we pick well! Check out the beautiful lobby. Planning That First Disney World Trip: What I Learned About Renting DVC Points When I began researching for my first Disney trip, I learned that it was possible to rent points for a Disney villa and stay in deluxe accommodations for a great price.  We had been looking at Disney’s Moderate Resorts, and we were planning a trip with my parents.  As I continued to research, I found that we could rent points for a two-bedroom villa at Kidani for about the price of two moderate rooms at rack rate. We decided to take the plunge and rent points.  We decided to use the DVC Rental Store since they did not charge a fee to…
