When Jeff and I were planning a trip to the Black Hills, he insisted that we make a stop at Wall Drug in Wall, South Dakota.  I thought it was a little weird that he wanted to make a stop at a drug store, but little did I know that this is a place like no other.  Turns out, there are many reasons to stop at Wall Drug!

This attraction seems to be in the middle of nowhere, but it seems that everyone traveling this way towards the Black Hills knows that a stop here is a must.  We actually planned a stop here overnight after we finished seeing Badlands National Park.

First on the Wall Drug itinerary—posing with celebrities of the Wild West.

This store has just about anything you can imagine for sale.  Rest assured, there are plenty of touristy trinkets to be found here!  We had a great time with photo ops with the decor.

Also, don’t forget to get your free cup of…water!

Around every corner was a new discovery of something, usually something really odd.  But this place does have a charm to it.  You really could spend hours here.

Now I can see why Jeff thought we pay Wall Drug a visit. We love the little tourist traps along the way.  It adds to the fun memories.

If you’re making a trek to the Black Hills, take a moment to stop in. Don’t forget to grab your cup of free water. And you know you want a photo with the Jackalope!

When we were at the Badlands, a huge storm moved in, so we didn’t get to stay very long. You can see the darkness in the sky of some of the Wall Drug pictures. I hope to write a review of the Badlands soon. Thanks for stopping by!
